Day 42 (4/21/10)

Today was Tyler's 6th birthday. I had to do a 15 minute presentation for my medical anthropology final. I think it went really well. I can't believe that Tyler is 6 years old already and that I have a 3rd child..... crazy! I wouldn't trade any of them for the world :)

Day 41 (4/20/10)

Today was one of the longest nights with Ximena. She was up from 1:00am-6:50am on and off crying. I felt bad there wasn't any way to console her. She did finally go to sleep and so did I.

Day 38 (4/17/10)

As you can see in these posts still looooooooong nights for me and Daddy with Ximena. Her fussy hour seems to be from 1am-5am. Its enough to exhaust me! It will be a little easier when i'm not worrying about finals and exams though.

Day 36 (4/15/10)

Lol or aka TAX DAY! hahaha okay not really for us we already turned in our taxes. Since this post is done so late I don't remember what was going on this day. I do have a picture for the day tho! That count?

Oh yeah.... I remember now that I found the pictures I took that day. Here's a pic of Ximena 4/15/10 on her changing table... that we have nicknamed "the happy place" lol. Because usually no matter how bad of a mood she's in you put her on her changing table and she is happy, smiling, and bouncy! Unless you put her on her changing table and don't changer her diaper! :P

Day 35 (4/14/10)

Can't believe 35 days have gone by. Its hard to believe she feels so old when in reality she's only 1 month. Its amazing how quickly they grow in the first year. Another reason why i'm glad that I'm doing this blog to remember her first year!

Day 34 (4/13/10)

We had Connie, Rich, Kailey and Zoey come over today for dinner and some post bday cake she brought it was really yummy! :) Ximena gave the biggest smiles to Connie it was adorable! She's never smiled that big until today! Oh and I've discovered that she will calm down instantly for Connie! I told her she needs to come over during the late night crying lol....

Day 33 (4/12/10)

So on this day was my birthday... i'm officially old. lol can't believe i'm 29 sometimes i forget how old i am because after 21 I swear the years just go by. That and i've been really busy with the kiddos i just forget how old I am. Anyway if i remember right today was a normal Ximena day where she cried and kept me up late. She's cute though :)

Day 32 (4/11/10)

Waaaaaaaaaaaaay behind now so updating with the pictures I took during those past days instead of writing something with every post. She's officially one month old now. :)

Here's Ximena on 4/11/10 with the same outfit she came home in. The only difference is now she's filled up the dress really well with her cute baby chunk :D

Day 31 4/10/10

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind on blog posts so playing catch up today. I have all the daily pictures taken just haven't had a chance to post them up to the blog. Today we went to the studio to have Connie take Ximena's 1 month pictures and her newborn pics. She absolutely loved Connie and she got smiling pictures of her. Of course the pictures took almost four hours because it took alot of time to get her not to scream in between shots! Thank you Connie for taking such wonderful pictures!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

 This picture is one of my favorite ones she took of me and her. Its really special I think and is one I will treasure when she gets older :)

Day 30 4/9/10

Today was a really good day. I got caught up on some much needed sleep thanks to my hubby :) Even though I'm still waaaay sleep deprived I don't like like a train ran over me like I did the day before. Ximena didn't scream nearly as much even though she didn't sleep until 4am the night before she was in a better mood during the day. We picked up the kids from school to get their haircuts. Found out that Mila got the Principal's Award for her science fair project she did on the strength of an electromagnet this year. I'm really proud of her she did a good job :) Tomorrow we are taking the family down for Ximena's newborn pictures with Connie at JcPenney. Excited to see how they come out! Hoping the baby doesn't scream too much! :P I've been so use to staying up so late that after I got Ximena to sleep I'm still awake right now. Figured I'd post this blog and then lay down :)

Day 29

Another really long day! I feel bad for complaining but it was definitely tough today. Ximena fell asleep around 3am then woke up at 8 am this morning. I changed her and she fussed for two hours before she fell asleep again. I don't mind that she didn't sleep right away but she was crying the whole time that made it hard. That and my body is just so tired. I think now is when the c-section pains are haunting me. Probably because the sleep deprivation is hitting me. I'm not even thinking about school at the moment because if i do i get really worried about how i'm going to do. Just hoping the semester all ties in together, only 3 weeks left. Right now Ximena is sleeping on my lap and just finished nursing. Since i put her down right before I had her in my lap and she woke up I'm not moving her at all this time! Don't want her to wake up and fight her sleep. Even with this massive complaint of the normal newborn stresses i'm still really happy :) And enjoying the fact that I get to spend time with her! Especially since after 3 weeks is up I don't have to worry about school or work until Jan. 2011 when she starts daycare and I start the nursing program. Which means that I get to enjoy the fact that I'm going to be there for all three of my kids :D Taking Mila to dance and getting Tyler in another activity he will enjoy this fall. And in the summer taking Tyler to T-ball and Mila to softball. While me and baby Ximena watch them play on the sidelines! Today I did get some really cute pictures of her smiling at me today on my iphone :)

Ximena smiling at mama :D I love her smiles lol. You can tell she loves you when you talk to her and she interacts with you. She's been doing that since we brought her home which is what amazes me!

Day 28 (4/7/10)

Today was a very loooooooooooooooooong day. Ximena was really fussy all day. When she wasn't asleep she spent 80% of her awake time screaming. I set out to go to bed about an hour and a half ago but had to get up because she was crying in bed while nursing. I think she has some gas so i rocked her in my computer chair and nursed her sitting up. She just now fell asleep on my lap and I'm waiting until she's really out to lay her down in bed with us. Because I don't want her to just wake up crying again. I'm not sure why she's so fussy today. Either its gas or a continuation of not feeling well. All I can do is try to comfort her even if it seems like a lost cause lately because she's just going to scream :( I'm so tired and worried about finishing up this semester of classes only have 3 weeks left in school. I still have to write papers and study for finals... ugh.

Day 27 (4/6/10)

Today was Ximena's first bath. She didn't mind it too much but wasn't too excited about being washed part. She made me a little nervous today because she had a low fever with a thermometer under the arm. I called the nurse at her pediatrician's office and was told if it went up to 99.4 to call again. I checked every few hours and the temp was gone. I still don't think she's feeling that well because she's been fussier then normal lately.

Ximena getting her first bath and not happy about it! 4/6/10. We also took video lol although you see alot of the back of Jake's head since I was standing over him. The kids watched too they were all excited and glad that they got to see it. We planned to give her a bath the Saturday before but didn't get around to it and the kids were upset at the thought of not being there since they were at Abu's spending the night. But everyone got to watch :) Hopefully she will enjoy baths in the future!

Day 26 (4/5/10)

Ximena actually slept amazingly well last night. (4/5/10). She only woke up once to eat in the middle of the night after I put her down again around 1am. It was really nice. She sleeps so soundly with us in the bed its great. Right now as i'm posting this she's sleeping on my lap lol. Today was a relatively good day I am still beyond exhausted. I think the built up sleep deprivation is hitting me. It will be nice once I'm done with classes because right now between the once in awhile pain from my c-section and not sleeping its not making it very easy to study. I'm thinking it was waaaaaaaay easier going to class pregnant with all the discomforts of pregnancy then attempting to study now. I also decided that I'm taking Fall 2010 semester off from school. It's just going to be way too challenging to try and study with a 5 month old. Don't get me wrong I can definitely do it but I don't have to this semester. I need to save my grant money for Summer 2011 when I start my clinicals for nursing. I start the nursing program in Spring 2011 and I want to make sure I'm refreshed and get to spend as much time with all the kids before I start that program. I'm excited to have a change to play with baby Ximena at home and be involved with Mila and Tyler's activities. :)

 Tyler with Ximena (4/5/10). He is such a great big brother its amazing! For him being such a big momma's boy he has shown zero jealousy at all. He actually will sing to her when she's crying and loves to give her kisses. Ximena is lucky to have such a great big sister and brother in her life :) Oh and in this picture Tyler actually brushed his hair all by himself this way. I was proud of him we are trying to instill more independence with him and its working!

Day 25 (4/4/10)

Today is Ximena's first Easter. Also it is Mila and Tyler's first Easter with their baby sister :) I can't believe she's here already and having all the kids dressed in their Easter clothing was just so special. Its hard to believe I have three kids! I know going from two to three should've been harder but in all honesty having such a wonderful husband to help hasn't made that transition hard at all. Being a single mommy to both Mila and Tyler has made this transition really easy. Plus having my body slowly go back to normal hormones has made me so much happier then having the surge of crazy pregnancy hormones before. Plus having such a beautiful family has made it much more complete. Today we went over to my parents house and hung out with them for a little while and then went over to Connie's to eat Easter dinner and dye eggs. The kids had a blast playing together! And the food was awesome! I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family in my life!!!!!!!!! :)

Day 24 (4/3/10)

Sorry this is posted so late. I took alot of pictures of Ximena sitting on her boppy today. She has such beautiful eyes! They are so blue. I've never had a child with any kind of blue in their eyes lol. Both Mila and Tyler's turned brown fairly quickly. So i'm curious what the end color is going to be. She's going to have Mila's size eyes with her daddy's color or similar to it... Its so cute :)

Ximena 4/3/10. I can't get over how big she smiles! She's been smiling since the 2nd week when we brought her home its crazy. I've never had a baby that smiled that young. Some of it was reflexes but she also will smile when you talk to her its amazing. She's such an amazing little girl I'm so in love with her!

Day 23

Another rough night with Ximena last night. She woke up crying and couldn't calm her even with attempting to nurse her. Eventually at one point I put her on my chest and patted her back until she fell asleep. Then I waited a bit and laid her down. We bought some Little Tummys gas drops to see if that helps. Jake and I partied our jobs on FFXI. Lol I played white mage one handed with Ximena sleeping on my chest. I think Jake only died once because I was too slow. Hard to cure and do things with no macros one handed! I had fun even though I gave Jake a hard time about having no other jobs with mp lol. Sorry this is posted so late we were playing :)

Day 22

Ximena is 3 weeks today! :) I can't believe she's that old already. Its gone by in a whirl of sleep deprivation! I can tell you how thankful I am to have such a loving and perfect family. Perfect husband who helps me with anything I need. I'm so happy to have them all in my life. Mila and Tyler are so awesome with their baby sister and just awesome children in general. I'm happy with my life and where it is at the moment :) Granted I can't wait until i finish my degree but its so close. I need to get through this semester and last 5 weeks of the semester. Once i do that I will have the entire summer to relax and spend time with the kids. I'm excited to see the kids participate in softball and T-ball this summer :D They are going to look so cute in their uniforms! So today Ximena was particularly fussy. I'm afraid that she's developing colic. Of course I've dealt with this already with Tyler so its nothing I can't handle just hoping it's just a fussy phase she will pass. She did smile at me too which makes it all worthwhile. She's adorable and going to be a heartbreaker when she gets older! Between her and Mila we're going to have to lock them up when they get older lol. And Tyler.... well he's already a ladies boy at his age haha... going to have to monitor him as well! I'm proud of Tyler he did a awesome job reading and sounding out words last night with Jacob. They are good kids. Who this morning were fighting and tonight were begging to sleep in the same room together! Which they are at the moment its quite funny.
